Some people, from the time they are in first grade, know they want to be teachers. For others, the idea to become a teacher can be a sudden insight, or a feeling that saves for years in some remote corner of their consciousness. Teachers will be hired, but probably at a much slower pace, affected possibly by the decisions of older teachers to stay longer in teaching than they originally planned. The advice for this situation is to hang in there, and be patient.
Teaching is like no other profession. As a teacher, you will wear many hats. You will, to name but of a few of the roles teachers assume in carrying out their duties, be a communicator, a disciplinarian, a conveyor of information, an evaluator, a classroom manager, a counselor, a member of many teams and groups, a decision-maker, a role-model, and a surrogate parent. Teaching experience and from discussions and teaching many hundreds of teachers and thousands of teacher education students, there emerge common threads of understanding and skill that good teachers weave into an effective personal style of teaching.
Tere are the characteristics of Good teachers:
1. are good at explaining things
2. keep their cool.
3. have a sense of humor.
4. Friendly and open
5. are inherently fair-minded
6. have "common sense."
7. have a command of the content they teach
8. good motivator for the studets
9. are detail oriented.

11. can lead or follow, as the situation demands
12. don't take things for granted
13. have big effect in the place he/she teaching

Influencing the Behaviour of Muslim Youth and Their Parents by Shahid Athar , M. D.

The behaviour of growing children is influenced by many factors, expecially the factors from the chidren environment and the media. The major problem in U.S. are cause of there not discipline, polite behaviour at school and fallout at home. The absence of a father at home, also becomes a major problem for single mothers raising a teenager. In Islamic theacing, great press has been placed an moral conduct and behavior.
Children are very easy to influence and anything that falls on them makes a lasting impression. They can learn to accept the right ideas and behaviors and rejact the wrong influence. The influencing of parents is high during early age up to 80% , but as the child discovers new friends and ideas, he or she grows independent from the influence of parents.
The American scene of the behavior of children and adults is changing. While it is difficult to qualify the behavior at home, the same at school has been published. The parents can do other influences with pay attention in peers, school, and media.
To influencing the behavior of children, the parents whit learning by doing. And we have to do it ourselves and ask them to joint us. Parents be able to do things out of love and respect their children, give clear guidelines about good and bad behavior, and parents should help children make appropriate decisions and be responsible for their decisions. The parents method to rising the children influencing personality of of the children. Therefore, the parents should be provide good method to rising the children, so their grow well.
To communicate with our children, we can do this stage: find a time and place to talk to your children; whwn you do argue, do it patiently, one person speaking at a time, active listening to each other’s opinion; avoid bad words that can make children hurt; always give motivation so they can be learn from their wrong.
Influencing children behavior through daily household cores.The purpose of giving them some works, is to keep them busy as well as teach them some responsibility. Firstly it may be boring, but it will eventually become routine. The assignment should be according to age (and not the sex of the child) and should include setting the table.
The behavior of the parent (especially the mother) which is so crucial and has nearly 90 percent influence. Then, as the child grows, identification with the parent of the same sex may make the influence of that parent more important.
Children and parents must occupy their bill of right as Muslim Childrean and Muslim Parents as with the verse in the Qur’an."Your Lord has commanded that you worship none but Him, and that you be kind to your parents. If either or both of them reach old age with you, do not say to them any word of contempt, nor repulse them, but address them in terms of honor, and out of kindness lower to them your wings of submission, and say, 'My Lord, have mercy on them as they cared for me in my childhood"' (17:23-24).
